During the October zoom meeting with Pastor Jen Beamsley and other call committee chairs, it was suggested that this would be an excellent time for all churches undergoing the call process to review and update the constitution, along with family leave and sabbatical leave policies.

There is more interest in our synod from call candidates at this time. Unfortunately for us, most of the candidates have seven to ten years of experience, which would put them above of our budget. Take heart in knowing that we are not the only church that has a longtime call process in place. There are several churches that have been waiting longer than us. The larger churches have had an easier time calling a pastor than churches from smaller rural settings.

The synod is working very hard in trying to get call candidates for our synod. We will get a pastor. We must keep the faith and continue praying for the right candidate to come to us.
