PC Healthy Wolves
PEARL CITY HEALTHY WOLVES FOOD PROGRAM
Provides backpacks filled with nutritious meals and snacks for school aged children K-12 for the weekend. Last school year we packed about 25 backpacks each week. The cost of supplies runs about $8 per backpack, per week. Donations of financial support are needed. Please contact Theresa Albers if you have any questions.

Grace Meal
A special thank you to everyone who helped with the July Grace Meal, Kathy Albrecht Dennis Downs, Kris & Marion Eden, Randy & Sandy Faust, Hendrix Feld, Kris Feld, Earl & Cindy Heimerdinger, Grace Heimerdinger-Baake, Jim Heimerdinger, Cathy Hoffmann, Lois Hunsaker, Joan Klatt, Judy Nelson, Marge Roiland, and DJ Scott. We served a total of 270 meals, 28 deliveries, and 242 curbside pickups.
The August Grace Meal will be on August16th. To reserve your meals for that day, contact St. John’s Lutheran Church by Thursday August 13th (815-443-2215). Meals can be picked up between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on the 16th. The menu for the August Grace Meal will be shaved pork sandwich, chips, pasta salad and Lemon cake.
The Grace Meal Committee would like to thank the congregation for stepping up and making financial donations to help the great ministry continue serving meals each month. If you think you can help prepare or serve a meal talk to Kris Eden, Marge Roiland, or Lois Hunsaker!

Social Ministry
The social ministry committee will be starting their school supply collection on July 12th. This collection will continue through August 9th. Items needed are 2 pocket folders, pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons, glue, erasers, Clorox wipes, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, computer mice, double AA batteries for computer mice, printer paper, backpacks, and any other basic school supplies. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Please make checks out to St. Johns and indicate that it is for school supplies. Thank you in advance for your donations.
Food Pantry
Thank you to Doris Kness, Nancy Trampel, Nancy Boop, Joan Klatt, and Deb Mather for donating their time to the Pearl City Food Pantry in May. Also thanks to all who donate food items and money to keep this community service project available. There is a need as 14 families were able to take 35 bags of groceries to help feed their families. Our church will be working at the Food Pantry in October so will be needing volunteers again at that time. Thank you all!
