The Women's Gathering is an organization of Women dedicated to seeking Christ through Bible Study, Fellowship and Service.

¨ Collect Baby Wipes for Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard
¨ Donate/help at Pearl City Food Pantry
¨ Work with families for funeral luncheons, if desired
¨ Participate in Lutheran World Relief Projects
¨ Bible Studies and Fellowship on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (September-May) at 9:45 AM in Luther Hall.
¨ Involved in Caring Hearts
¨ Plan/lead a worship service
¨ Provide Gift Certificates to Needy Families for Christmas Gifts for each member of the families.
¨ Participate in retreats, conventions, dinners at St. John’s, Northwest Conference, Northern Ill. Synod & Triennial.
¨ Lots more & lots of fellowship & fun!!! Join us!!!
*Women’s Gathering has dish cloths for sale. They are $1.50 each. Contact the church office or Lynda Palmer if you are interested.
*There will be no Prayer Shawl meeting on August 2nd. It will return on September 6th.
*The Women’s Gathering will lead the Outdoor Worship Service on Sunday, August 2nd at the Pearl City Park District shelter house at 9AM. (Pastor will be on vacation). There will be special music. Donuts, juice and coffee will be available by the Women’s Gathering from 8:30 – 8:50AM. We will also lead the worship on Sunday, November 22nd when Pastor is on vacation.
*The Women’s Gathering Ladies Night Out and Annual Meeting and dinner will be on Tuesday, August 11th at 6PM. The program includes a visit from Benjamin Franklin. The cost of the dinner is $10. The menu is broasted chicken, potato salad, fruit, relishes, all-time favorite dessert, coffee & water. Please sign up in the lobby bulletin board by August 2nd. Invite others to join us!
*We have been asked to host the NW Conference Women of the ELCA Retreat. The Board decided to host the Spring Retreat on Tuesday, April 20, 2027 at 9AM. (replace our monthly bible study.) Program to be decided.
*Eating Out will not meet during the summer months.
*Thank you to the ladies and Pastor for attending the Women’s Gathering Summer Gathering on Wednesday, July 15th. Thank you to the Board (Kathy Hillmer, Kris Eden, Lynda Palmer, Lee Frey, Doris Kness, Karen Bremmer) for providing the food. It was an enjoyable morning.
*All women are invited to attend the Women of the ELCA 2026 Annual Convention of the Northern Illinois Synod. It will be will be on Saturday, September 19th from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at New Life Lutheran Church in Bolingbrook IL. Registration is $50.00 – August 19th deadline. Please complete a registration form (on bulletin board) and send with $ by August 19th. Scholarships are available. Any questions, please contact Karen Bremmer 815-821-4698.
